Q. What does full weekend registration include?
A. The whole shebang! The Friday Shim Sham lesson, the Friday dance with Gordon Wester playing, Saturday workshops with Chazz Young and guests, the Saturday Triple Decker Dance with Gordon Webster, the Sunday Brunch including a delicious breakfast, the chronological retrospective on Frankie’s life, the Sunday afternoon dance with the Jesse Barksdale Trio, and the after party on Sunday. All for just $125 which includes breakfast on Sunday!
Q. How is the money from the fundraiser spent?
A. All proceeds from the weekend will go to support The Frankie Manning Foundation. You can read more about the foundation here.
Q. How can I volunteer or get involved with the weekend?
A. The more the merrier! Please contact us if you’d like to help out. Please contact us earlier rather than later.
Q. Will there be a Silent Auction this year?
A. Yes! This year’s Silent Auction will be better than ever. Please contact us if you’d like to donate an item.
Q. Is there a bake sale this year?
A. Yep! The bake sale will be on Saturday. Please contact us if you’d like to help out.
Q. Is the event friendly for Beginners?
A. Yes! Beginners are welcome to join the Friday Shim Sham lesson and the lessons on Saturday night, and new dancers with basic Lindy Hop experience can join the New Dancer Track outlined on the Schedule page.
Q. Will there be a Sunday brunch?
A. You bet! The Gladstone is known for their delicious brunch and there will be vegan and gluten-free options. It was the highlight of last year’s event!
Q. Can I buy tickets for individual events? Can I buy them at the door?
